Stoke-on-Trent Foodbank

As part of the Burslem Mission Circuit we support the Stoke-on-Trent Foodbank.

Every day people in the UK go hungry for reasons ranging from redundancy to receiving an unexpected bill on a low income.

Trussell Trust foodbanks provide a minimum of three days emergency food and support to people experiencing crisis in the UK. Last year their UK foodbank network fed over 60,000 people experiencing food poverty.

Stoke-on-Trent foodbank was launched at the beginning of May 2012. Spearheaded by Wesley Hall Methodist Church, there are now distribution points around the city, including one in Biddulph.

Home Groups

We recognise that it’s not always easy in a big worship setting for people to ask questions of faith and life, and connect with other people. Sundays can be busy. Therefore, we have home Groups that meet bi weekly on Wed and Thursdays evenings between 7.30-9pm in peoples homes. These are small groups that meet during the week, helping those that attend to go deeper in faith, support one another in life, and sharing coffee and cake. If you’d like to attend a home group get in touch and we will try to help you find the home group that bests suits you.
